Just at the end of 2008, I was able to fetch K.I.T.T. from Hamburg. The motor runs fine and had no problems during the 400 kilometer trip. The reason for the starting problems was a fault in the air-mass flow sensor, which has been solved now. So 2009 will become a better season. It starts on May, 1st...

Unfortunately, K.I.T.T. still does not run. So I decided, to take the car to a professional garage for American cars in Hamburg. Let's hope, those guys will bring K.I.T.T.s engine back to life now.

After a few more weeks, K.I.T.T. is still in the garage. I decided to let renew the enginge by Breka-Tuning. After that it will be like new.

At the moment its motor has been partly disassembled. One of the cylinders lost its compression. Two cylinderheads are given a general overhaul. I hope, the car will be ready again soon.

Over the past 3 days, we mounted the dashboard into the car. So the interior is completed, too!

Today, I got my Dashboard, the gullwing steering wheel, the speaker covers and the TV frame back from the paint shop. All parts have been painted in silk-matt black.

Yesterday, I brought my dashboard to the paint shop. As anticipated, they were not very happy with the work. We used a lot of filler at the top of the dash, which could break apart sooner or later. So they decided to remove it completely and to use fiberglass instead. Today, I could take a look at the primed parts before they get painted.

Today, we mounted the dashboard with the electronics into the car again. Additionally, we laminated connectors for the dash electronics and a fuse box to the dashboard and mounted the TFT display for the bordcomputer. Finally, we installed additional front speakers.

Today, we wired the electronics and intstalled all boards to the dashboard, including the voicebox.

In the past two days, we continued mounting the electronics into the dashboard.

Today I got the tires on my two new Turbo Cast rims. Then, I mounted the hubcaps and after that, I mounted the tires. Now K.I.T.T.'s exterior is finally completed.

After mounting my Turbo Cast Rims, I found one of the tires losing air. The reason was a mirco crack in the rim. This can be repaired, but I got a good offer for two spare rims, so I bought them. Today, they arrived.

Today, we started to prepare the dash electronics for the build-in into the dashboard.

Today, we went on working on the voicebox. This meant more filling, grinding, more filling, more grinding and so on.

Today, I got my new Grant steering wheel. It's already the second one, because the first one did not fit. In Germany, I'm not allowed to use the gullwing, so I had to get another round one. I'll only mount my gullwing for shows and photos.
