My replica of K.I.T.T. would not be what it is today, without the help of some people, I just want to say THANK YOU to...
Martin Schoepe
Martin is a friend of mine for many years. I first met him at Kindergarten! He is a skilled aircraft mechanic and electrician and helped me with ALL work on my car. To make it short: without Martin, my replica would not exist or it would not be half as functional as it is today... or would have burned down months ago, because I would have connected anything wrong. Will I ever be able to pay him back? I don't think so... ;)
Chris Groeling
Chris is the webmaster of
Project-KITT.de
. Because of him and his website, I finally got the idea of creating a K.I.T.T. replica. His website has a lot of information about suppliers of parts and answers a lot of questions about building a K.I.T.T. replica. Chris also helped me getting some parts and often had valuable tips for me. Additionally, he is the creator of the voice recognition software for the car. He changed his own program for my special demands - and now many other fans of "Knight Rider" enjoy the program, too.
Marcel Kraus
Marcel is one of the administrators of the German
Knight-Rider-Board
and also helped me a lot by giving tips and help in building a replica or solving technical problems with my Pontiac Firebird.
Andreas Windrich
In Germany, it is not that easy to find a garage that knows about American cars and enjoys working with them. I was surprised that just that kind of PitStop garage filled my special needs - which certainly is owed to CEO Andreas Windrich and his own interests in special cars. He worked a lot at my car and made some friendship prices for me. Thanks a lot - also for your patience with my car!
Karlack Metropole, Erfurt
In March 2007, I was looking for a good paint shop. I collected offers from more than 10 shops. Most of them were not in the mood to take the job or wanted a lot of money for it. Often, I also should take the car apart and assemble it myself. Except Karlack. The price was OK and the work was done at a high quality level! They worked on the car for 4 weeks. The old paint was removed completely. Highly recommended! Today known as
Carlack Nord
.
Alex Wong
I got many of my original Firebird parts from private persons. One of them is Alex Wong from California, who sold a set of PMD seats at a very good price to me. Alex is also building a K.I.T.T. replica himself and managed upholstery of the seats and also ordered the upholstery kit for me. Additionally, he did his best to help me with my Turbo Cast Rims and even ordered the Grant Steering Wheel for me, which helped me to save some money. Thanks Alex for these extra efforts!
All vendors, I got my parts from...
It's almost impossible to build a replica K.I.T.T. from scratch. Luckily, there are a lot of enthusiasts all over the world, who create parts from scratch and sell them to other people like me. Sometimes it needs some months, but it's worth the waiting time. Special thanks to
João da Encarnação
,
Chris Forget
and Brenon Fulbright! To find out, what other parts I've used and who the suppliers have been, take a look at my

The organizers of the events in which I participate
Since the car is finished, I regularly exhibit it at larger or smaller events to present it to a larger audience. Of course, this is only possible because there are people who organize such events! Many thanks to Markus & Dani from the
German Comic Con
and Jan from
ComicPark
as well as to all the others who bust their a**es for similar events...
Turbine Media Group
Thank you very much for honoring my work by including me in the bonus section of the official
German Blu-ray set
of "Knight Rider"! I'm also very proud that my car is allowed to grace the cover as well as the digipacks of the official release of the series in Germany as well as all the other tributes you have placed in the set...
Our K.I.T.T. replica community
Thanks to all members of our steadily growing German K.I.T.T. replica community as well as Project-K.I.T.T. e.V. - Especially our many
meetings
make up a large part of the fun of this hobby for me. May there be many more of them :)
My followers
Thanks to everyone who follows me at
Facebook
,
Instagram
or
YouTube
. A hobby like this is of course much more fun when you see that others like it too and you regularly receive a lot of positive feedback for it :)
My fantastic wife
Last but not least... Many thanks to my fantastic wife, who not only supports me mentally and morally in my project, but also always gives me the freedom to sometimes spend several days at events or meetings and meanwhile take care of our offspring alone. That is certainly not a matter of course :)
My K.I.T.T. is on the covers and within the bonus features of the official German "Knight Rider" Blu-rays by Turbine Medien and Universal Pictures
