2025-03-20 - Maintenance: New rear brake, new exhaust

My K.I.T.T. is almost 37 years old now. This means that parts need to be serviced and replaced from time to time. For example, my handbrake had only been working to a limited extent for some time. It became clear that the rear brakes needed to be overhauled or replaced completely. I opted for the latter, as the spare parts are quite affordable.
In the end, it was still a lot of work, as the system of countless springs, clamps and bolts was not at all easy to replace. However, I had it done by my garage as I didn't feel like doing it myself... and it would certainly have taken a lot longer.
The Panhard rod was also replaced and the oil changed.

I also needed a new exhaust system After all, the last one had lasted 18 years! I've been wanting to replace them for some time for visual reasons, but both my garage and the TÜV have not seen any reason to do so. Now, however, the rust has taken its toll over the last 2 years, so it was time to replace it.
The new system is also a standard part from Dynomax. Let's see if it lasts as long again as the one from Walker...
