2025-03-31 - Maintenance: Rust and repainting

My K.I.T.T. is now almost 37 years old. I had the complete car repainted 18 years ago. And even though it still looked great at first glance, a lot of new rust was forming again, especially on the lower edges, sills and inside the wheel arches, and some rust bloom was also visible on the surface under the paint.
In addition, the paintwork on the rear bumper, which is made of quite soft, wobbly plastic, had been developing hairline cracks for some time, which were becoming increasingly visible.
That's why I wanted to have the car repainted at the beginning of last year and now, in spring 2025, the time had finally come.
The following is a small "inventory" that shows the "extent" a little more clearly. As a normal passer-by, very few people will actually have noticed this...
