"Steet Mag Show" meeting 2025

Day 1 - Saturday, 26th July 2025

The Street Mag Show in Hannover is one of the largest US car meetings in Germany. Every summer, US car drivers and fans gather at the Schützenplatz in Hannover. We have been meeting there regularly for years. After being unable to attend last year due to scheduling conflicts, I wanted to be there again this year...
Normally, we always meet up with several K.I.T.T.s at Future Knight and his family's guesthouse near Hameln, but Flo was still on vacation until shortly before the event this year, so I arranged to meet John and Bea from K.I.T.T. Herford at a hotel in Hannover. The plan was also not to spend the whole Saturday at the Schützenplatz, but to go for a short drive and then maybe stop by again in the evening and maybe again on Sunday.
Two days before, Flo finally got in touch and offered to host a smaller barbecue at his place on Saturday and provide two rooms at the guesthouse, so we quickly changed our plans... In fact, I didn't get my K.I.T.T. back from the paint shop until 23rd July, after I decided to have the hood repainted as well, following the partial repainting in the spring. After that, my dash stopped working, but I was able to find the fault on 24th July and fix it easily, so we were ready to go. We were also able to cancel the hotel in Hannover free of charge.
On Saturday, I arrived at the Street Mag Show around noon. There I met Basti, Mirko, Mark, and Jan, who were already there with their K.I.T.T.s. Shortly after 13:00, John and Flo also showed up, so we were able to line up a total of six K.I.T.T.s and one Knight 3000. This time, we couldn't fit next to each other because the Schützenplatz was already very crowded at that time.

At around 16:00, John, Bea, and I left the meeting to go on our planned joyride.
We drove to Marienburg Castle, which is currently closed for renovations, but we knew that beforehand. The castle is still worth a visit. Unfortunately, we couldn't drive up to take photos, otherwise it would have been almost reminiscent of Wilton Knight's estate from the pilot 😉

Afterwards, we settled down in an ice cream parlor, and before we knew it, it was already 19:00.
Since Flo was already on his way home, we decided not to go back to the Street Mag Show and followed him to the guesthouse. There we ended the evening with pleasant conversations and delicious burgers from the grill.

Day 2 - Sunday, 27th July 2025

On Sunday, it came true, what the weather forecast had been predicting for several days: endless rain.
Even though there might be some minor gaps, I decided not to go back to Hannover. Instead, we spent a lot of time enjoying a hearty breakfast, and at around 13:00 I set off for home. After all, I don't always have to be back home late in the evening 🙂
The weather was also very mixed on the way home... But at around 16:30, we arrived back in Erfurt safe and sound.
