Day 1 - Saturday (17th May 2025)
  • On 17th & 18th May 2025, the ComicPark took place again in the beautiful EGApark in my hometown of Erfurt. Although the weather was forecast to be quite changeable on both days this time, we were very lucky and were almost completely spared the rain. There was only a very short shower on Sunday afternoon, which wasn't worth mentioning. Apart from that, there was only a little rain during the night, but that didn't really bother us.
  • K.I.T.T. wasn't the only attraction this year either. Alex from Filmautos24.de had two Jurassic Park vehicles with him this time. However, they were not in the entrance area with K.I.T.T., but further back with the dinosaurs.
  • There were also many other familiar faces: the Stark Industries team with Captain America, Spider-Man, Hulk, Hawkeye - and new to the event - Rocket from the Guardians of the Galaxy. Plus Lucky Logan as Wolverine, Jack Sparrow and of course AJ Designs from Nuremberg with their impressive Transformers costumes, the Ghostbusters German Division, Umbrella Academy, an AT-ST from Angelo (formerly ZMontagen), Heroes' heart & king's daughters from Erfurt and much more. - There were also various end-time vehicles and some vehicles with manga-style designs.
  • There were also hundreds of cosplayers and walking acts, for whom the ComicPark in Erfurt is now a permanent fixture among conventions.
  • Once again this year, K.I.T.T. was placed directly behind the main entrance so that he could be seen by all visitors to the EGApark.
  • Once again, the numerous sales and themed stands stretched across the entire EGApark and the main meadow. There are more and more every year. The ComicPark also featured a hall with comic artists, various workshops and walking acts and, as always, an entertainment program on two stages.

  • The first parade through the park took place at 11:30 today. My family wasn't there at this time, so I was able to take my buddy Holger and his son with me, who had traveled from Zwickau especially for K.I.T.T.. I got to know Holger during the preparations for the "Knight Rider" Blu-ray box set and this was his third time at the ComicPark.

  • I was able to take part in the catering for lunch. There I also met this year's German dubbing voice actor guests: Engelbert von Nordhausen (German voice of Samuel L. Jackson, Bill Cosby and many more), Konrad Bösherz (German voice of Billy from "Knight Rider 2008", Jesse Eisenberg and many more), Santiago Ziesmer (German voice of Spongebob, Steve Urkel, Steve Buscemi and many more) and Kathrin Fröhlich (German voice of Cameron Diaz, Gwyneth Paltrow and many more). They all came along to K.I.T.T. for a group photo straight afterwards and Konrad, Santiago and Kathrin didn't miss the chance to take a seat behind the wheel. I also took a selfie with everyone later on. I had already done this with Engelbert last year when he came along to K.I.T.T. 🙂

  • Otherwise, as every year, there were of course hundreds of cheerful cosplayers on site. The EGApark is perfect for photos. Of course, all the manga characters fit in perfectly with the Japanese garden - and I also managed to pass some movie costumes again to take photos with K.I.T.T.

  • The nice thing about the "home game" in Erfurt is that my family and friends can also be there. My wife, my sons, my sister-in-law and my nephew came again in their myKITT.de T-shirts, and my nieces and lots of friends were also there 🙂
  • The event ended at 18:00. I left the car overnight again, as we wanted to be there again on Sunday...
Day 2 - Sunday (18th May 2025)
  • As K.I.T.T. was spending the night at EGApark, I took the tram there on Sunday morning. This year there were also big posters at the tram stops advertising the event.
  • On site, I cleaned K.I.T.T. again, which was still wet from the night's rain - but it had already completely cleared away. Soon afterwards, the site filled up with visitors again.
  • On the stage behind K.I.T.T., the band "Tag der Helden" were already doing their sound check for their concert, during which they played well-known TV theme tunes.
  • The same stage was also used today for the voice actor panel, which I attended with my niece.

  • Today I mainly used the time for more photos with cosplayers at K.I.T.T. and for a lot of small talk with visitors at the car.

  • At 3:00 PM there was still a very short rain shower, but it wasn't worth mentioning. Considering that it was originally supposed to rain all morning, it was absolutely bearable 🙂

  • Another cosplayer parade through the park was planned for 4:00 PM today. Of course, K.I.T.T. was part of it again. I was also pleased that my young son (7) and his friend, as well as my niece joined me for the ride. Thousands of visitors once again lined the park roads and took hundreds of photos - a great experience!

  • After the parade, I called it a day and made K.I.T.T. roadworthy again.
  • Conclusion: ComicPark 2025 in Erfurt was a complete success. The organization was excellent, the weather once again showed its best side almost without exception and thousands of visitors enjoyed K.I.T.T. and took photos with the cheeky wonder car. We would love to come again 🙂
