2025-07-23 - Repainting: K.I.T.T.'s hood

For cost reasons, I only had K.I.T.T. partially repainted in the spring. Only the parts that were at risk of rusting were repainted. The front, the hood, the tailgate, the right fender, and the top parts of the doors were not repainted.
However, when I picked up the car, I decided that I wanted to have the hood repainted as well. I had had a hairline crack in the paintwork above the hood spring for quite some time, which was now becoming increasingly visible. And even though I fear that it might reappear at some point, I decided that the hood could be repainted. This would also remove a few minor stone chips and a slight dent.
So I took the car to the paint shop again before my vacation this year and was able to pick it up in time for the Street Mag Show. The hood now looks flawless again. Keep your fingers crossed that it stays that way 😉
