On April 16th 2011 we held our season opening for members of Project-KITT.de forums in Moers and Duisburg. The "Neue Ruhr Zeitung" reported in two regional newspapers about us. The NRZ in Moers told a little more about my replica project.

The first meeting of Project-KITT e.V. in 2011 was held in Moers and Duisburg, where I joined the group again. This time, there were 6 K.I.T.T. replicas and several Firebirds.

Today, we installed the new mediaplayer in the car. A Voltcraft voltage converter converts 12 volts to constant 5.2 volts. The mediaplayer plays videoclips for the monitor directly from SD card.

My car PC needs too much power. That's why, I bought a new power saving media player for simple video playback from internal 2.5" HDD, SD or USB memory sticks.

From this year on, I register K.I.T.T. from April to October. This means one month more driving, one month less winter break or 16.7% more fun. Some kind of that.
I changed the registration today and got new license plates with the new season numbers. So only 16 days to go :)

The active members of the Project-KITT e.V. meet each other several times a year. The last meeting in 2010 was held in Stuttgart, where I joined the group again. Thisb time, there were 6 K.I.T.T. replicas and 4 more Firebirds.

Because I was not able to be at "ZDF Fernsehgarten" myself, I asked the editors of the show, to get an autograph from Mr. Hasselhoff for me. Today, I got the autographed picture by mail.

Today, I got my "Comlink". Mark Puette managed to build a detailled replica of Michael Knight's watch. Even the backplate has a stamped logo of Knight Industries. I just bought 2 watches. One for my collection and one to store in the car for shows.

On August 29th 2010, David Hasselhoff was live guest in German TV Show "ZDF Fernsehgarten". K.I.T.T. was there, too - this time presented by my replica. David drove the car to the show stage himself, joined by host Andrea Kiewel on the passenger seat.

The "Street Mag Show" in Hannover is one of Germany's biggest U.S. Car Meetings. This year, my K.I.T.T. was a part of it again.

Besides my replica-project, I'm also a huge fan of the "Back to the Future"-trilogy and the webmaster of the largest German fansite for the films, www.ZidZ.com. There we organize annual fanmeetings. This year we went to Frankfurt/Main again and K.I.T.T. was there, too.

On May 18th and 19th 2010 there was a shooting for Spiegel-TV-Report "Helden der Hebebühne" for German TV station DMAX. The report shows different car handicraft enthusiasts, who work on special cars. One part of the report will show my replica of K.I.T.T. - so they filmed the mounting of my switchpod. They also filmed me capturing soundfiles and of course they did a lot of shoots of K.I.T.T.
