2013-02-07 - Removing rust at the hood
  • When my car has been painted in spring 2007, the paint-shop already noted, that they would not be able to remove the rust at the front side completely, so it could break through again after 2-3 years
  • You could hardly see it, but under there were indeed some tiny bubbles under the paint now. Additionally, I had a small break in the paint since 2009
  • This winter season, I decided to let Carlack Nord from Erfurt renew the hood
  • They completely removed the rust, so the sheet metal looked quite perforated

2013-02-14 - Hood galvanized
  • To prevent the hood from rusting again, the affected areas have been galvanized

2013-02-21 - Hood painted
  • Then the hood has been grinded and re-painted
  • The rust has disappeared completely

2013-02-25 - Hood mounted
  • On 22nd February the hood has been mounted to the car. I picked it up on February 25th.
  • Many thanks to Carlack Nord for the perfect job
