  • On 10th October 2017, I was candidate in the German TV quiz show "Kennste den?" (similar to British TV show "Odd One In"). At the show, they present different candidates who tell a story about a strange or funny hobby and two celebrity guessers have to find out, whose story is true:
    • "How many of them?"
The celebrities have to guess, how many of the 9 candidates have something in common. For example, how many candidates own a home cinema. Afterwards there is a follow-up question about the selected candidates and the special hobby of one of them. Being the only candidate, who owns a home cinema, the celebrities had to guess, which of 3 movie cars, I have built (Batmobile, K.I.T.T. or Ecto-1)... Bernd Stelter selected K.I.T.T., Ulla Kock am Brink wanted to see Ecto-1. K.I.T.T. was not in the studio, but was shown in a short video clip.
    • "Model year"
3 candidates give 6 hints about historic events of their year of birth and the celebrities have to find out, which year it is. The lesser hints they need, the more points they earn.
    • "True or false?"
3 candidates tell a story about something special in their lives (e.g. a special hobby, experience or profession), but only 1 is true. The celebrities have to guess, who tells the truth.
    • "You tell me!"
In advance, the candidates had to bet on the celebrity, who will earn the most points (result: 5x Bernd Stelter, 4x Ulla Kock am Brink). The celebrities have to pick one candidate of their group to answer as many quiz questions as possible within 60 seconds.
  • The celebrities collect points in every round, which are transferred into money at the end of the show to be split between the candidates of the winning team. Because Bernd Stelter did win with 21 against 20 points, his team got 2,100 Euros, which were split between the 5 candidates, that bet on him. Luckily, I was one of them :)
  • The show aired on German channel ZDFneo on 31st October 2017 at 7:30 PM CE with 680,000 viewers (2.3% market share). A rerun was shown on 1st November 2017 at 10:15 AM CET.
