Season Final Meeting 2024
  • Our season's final meeting took place from 11th to 13th October 2024. Again this year, Jan from near Northeim invited us to his home. Also this time the meeting was private - so there was no public exhibition of the vehicles that would have been announced beforehand.
  • We met with a total of 6 K.I.T.T.s - and a K.A.R.R. replica was also there again.
Friday, 11th October 2024
  • On Friday, we first met at Jan's home before setting off on a drive to Hardegsen Castle, where we lined up the vehicles in a nice big row, which always makes for a very nice picture.

  • Afterwards - as in previous years - an excellent schnitzel meal awaited us.
  • As always, we ended the evening at Jan's house.
Saturday/Sunday, 12th/13th October 2024
  • Saturday morning began with a hearty breakfast at Jan's home.
  • Afterwards, we were visited by Sebastian - a big Knight Rider fan who Jan had invited, together with his mother Karin, to take a few photos with our K.I.T.T.s. We set up in the parking lot of a nearby company. Sebastian was very enthusiastic about the vehicles and in the end was allowed to take home a few artcards, posters and a "Knight Guide".

  • We then set off for Wernigerode, where the first event was on the agenda. Here we wanted to visit the aviation museum.
  • Jan had chosen a beautiful country road route through the Harz Mountains for the trip, so that we could drive in a nice column with the 7 vehicles...

  • We made a stopover in "Elend" (German for "misery" - and yes, the place really is called that), where we unfortunately just missed the departure of a steam locomotive of the Harz narrow-gauge railroad. However, we took the opportunity to enjoy the schnitzel left over from the previous evening.
  • On the onward journey to Wernigerode, we then encountered another steam locomotive at a level crossing.

  • In Wernigerode, we then went to the Aviation Museum. There are more than 50 restored aircraft and helicopters in four halls covering an area of around 6,000 square meters. There are also various interactive stations and Tobi made sure to try out one of the flight simulators.
  • A Transall C-160 51+01 can be viewed on the roof of the museum. A tunnel slide leads back to the ground. But you can also take the stairs 😉

  • We originally wanted to visit Wernigerode Castle afterwards, but there are no parking spaces up there, so we would have had to leave the cars alone in a large public parking lot in the town and then take the funicular up. We therefore decided against it and made our way back to Jan's house.

  • Again, we stopped at a level crossing to let another steam locomotive pass. Here we also managed to get a few better photos.

  • On the way, we stopped at a parking lot with a view of the Brocken mountain. Well, "view" is not quite correct, because the peak was almost completely obscured by clouds. From time to time it became visible, but in the end it was too far away to get a picture of it together with the vehicles...
  • A few passers-by took the opportunity to take photos of the vehicles before we finally drove on.

  • We ended the evening at Jan's house again with delicious food from the barbecue and nice conversations.
  • On Sunday morning, there was a hearty breakfast before most of us set off on their journey home again.

  • The meeting was once again very nice. The organization by Jan and Julia was excellent as always! Thank you very much - we will be back again 🙂
