Today, I finally got my new floor mats (with a delay of almost 3 months). It's a special edition with beige borders and without the Firebird-logo, which normally is on those mats.

Now the paint shop also stripped the hood and fitted the front to the fenders.

Over the last days, the paint shop completely stripped the old paint from the middle and rear areas of the car. There also are some problems: The cowl induction hood has worse rust problems than they first thought and the front will not be fitting perfectly, too. But I'm sure, they'll find solutions for that.

Today, I got the parts for my on-board-computer-system.

Today, I got my Grant steering wheel. In Germany, I'm not allowed to use the gullwing, so I had to get another round one. I'll only mount my gullwing for shows and photos.

Over the past days, we put the electronics into the lower and overhead console. Additionally, we started with some body work on the dashboard and stabilized the headliner with some fiberglass-mats.

The paint shop already did some first deconstructions. They removed the rearbumper, the weatherstripping, the tailgate, the side mirrors and door locks.

Today, I brought my car to the paint shop. To show, that the cars often look great on pictures, but having a lot of bugs in reality, I'm presenting some detailled pictures now. All bugs will of course be removed before the car will be repainted. After the paint-job the car will be like new.

Today, we mounted the new exhaust system. The exhaust pipes look much more authentic now than the old stainless steel pipes, which were much too eye-catching. Additionally we closed the holes in the new rearbumper with component glue and installed sporty reflectors to it. In Germany, cars with black taillights need additional reflectors.

Today, I got my new T-Top-weatherstripping (original GM parts) from HawksThirdGenParts.com and my new door-weatherstripping (aftermarket) that I've got as new products from eBay.

Today, we made the car ready to ride again. All exterior parts have been mounted and adjusted again. Tomorrow, the car will be licensed for 5 days to get some paint job offers and to install the new exhaust system.

Today I got the rear side deflectors from Wraith Innovations. They had a very good price, that's why I would never have had expected such a great quality! They are just incredible!

Today, we layed the rear-carpet into the car and installed the central console and all 4 seats. The driver's seat is a power seat.

Today, I got my speaking software, which is a combination of "Dragon Naturally Speaking 8" and a software written by Chris Groeling from project-KITT.de. It reacts on spoken sentences and answers with the proper lines from K.I.T.T. in German with the original voice of K.I.T.T. from the show (Gottfried Kramer).
