After mounting my Turbo Cast Rims, I found one of the tires losing air. The reason was a mirco crack in the rim. This can be repaired, but I got a good offer for two spare rims, so I bought them. Today, they arrived.

Today, we started to prepare the dash electronics for the build-in into the dashboard.

Today, we went on working on the voicebox. This meant more filling, grinding, more filling, more grinding and so on.

Today, I got my new Grant steering wheel. It's already the second one, because the first one did not fit. In Germany, I'm not allowed to use the gullwing, so I had to get another round one. I'll only mount my gullwing for shows and photos.

Over the last days we worked on the dashboard. I registered my car for 5 days, so we had the opportunity to adjust the dash electronics while driving. The digits now show the correct speed in KMH. Additionally, we set the odometer correctly, which was kind of an adventure, but it works now. Additionally, we started to put the voicebox overlays into the dash. But there will be more filling and grinding before it will be perfect.

Today, I got my hubcaps back from the paint-shop. They have been painted the same color as the car. Just in case, one of them could be damaged in the future, I added two fiberglass hubcaps, which have been painted, too. They can be used as spare parts. Additionally, I have a new gas cap, which has been painted, too. My existing cap is not as good as it should be. So I will replace it with this one.

I originally planned, to drill the openings for the voicebox countdown lamps directly into the fiberglass dash, what would have been quite ugly, because the openings are very small (about 9 x 13 mm). So I decided to get some overlays of 3 mm aluminium, which will be put into the dash.

Today we let took the tires from the old Firebird rims and put them on the new Turbo Cast Rims. Then we mounted the new rims onto the car. The hubcaps are still at the paint shop, so they will be added later.

Today, we worked on the original dashboard of the car to make room for the Knight Rider dash. Some parts had to be cut off.

Today, I finally got my 15" Turbo Cast Rims. I bought them more than 12 months ago on eBay. Unfortunately, the seller accidently shipped them to the wrong address. Now I finally own ALL parts for my replica.

Today, I finally got my original hubcaps. I bought them almost 12 months ago on eBay in a set with Turbo Cast Rims. Unfortunately, the seller accidently shipped them to the wrong address. The rims should arrive within the next days, too.

Today, we tested the dash electronics. We only connected the power wires - so there is no display of car-functions yet. But it looks great anyways ;)

Today, I got my dash electronics from Jupiter Electronics. I decided to buy the new version with colored LEDs, because I don't like the white look, when the LEDs are off. Now I can continue the completion of the interior.

Today was the last day of season 2007. Having a perfect weather, I took the last chance to take K.I.T.T. for a ride and to make a new videoclip.
